Quite recently I was blessed enough to have had the opportunity to visit the house of Allah Subhana Wa Tala. It was truly a mesmerising and unexplainable experience filled with emotions I had never thought existed.
Aside from the very spiritual and timeless environment that the harem ‘emanates’. It is impossible to not appreciate the phenomenonal architecture and design features that have been added within recent centuries. One can only wonder how such a vast site is maintained at such a high standard of cleanliness. In fact after performing a second umrah and upon leaving the haram one last time, we unusually stopped to appreciate as a group of cleaners almost mechanically cleaned a vast stretch of marble in a matter of seconds.
