Writer Contributor - Bahath

We are on the lookout for talented writers who have the passion to uncover amazing stories from within the Muslim community.
Looking to break into a new industry or develop your career in writing? Are you a writer with a diverse skill set?
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in creative writing, blogging or in general have a strong command of the English language. Previous professional writing experience is not mandatory but we will request a writing sample. Research skills are important so being computer savvy is a plus.
The position is a voluntary based role and provides you with the opportunity to gain valuable work experience publishing articles and working within an editorial team.
Responsibilities and Duties
- As a contributor to the Bahath website, we expect a submission of at least one article per month. Topics we cover include Fashion, Food, Travel, History and interview profiles.
- You will conduct independent research to uncover interesting and unique stories from within the Muslim community. This may also include setting up interviews and contacting organisations.
- On a monthly basis, you will liaise with the editorial team to confirm article concepts for the coming month.
- Be organised and prompt in order to ensure articles are submitted at the agreed upon due date.
